Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about enrollment, payments, commissions, and program delivery.
Is there an English language requirement or assessment?
No. There is no English test requirement for students. They may enrol and attend the program without taking any formal English assessment.
What is the payment structure?
Deposit: £500 per student to secure their spot. Payment deadlines: May cohort - Deposit due March 15, full balance due April 15. June/July/August cohorts - Deposit required, balance due 4 weeks before program start date. Students can pay in installments rather than one full payment upfront.
Can individual students apply, or only groups?
Both individual students and organized groups are welcome to apply.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
The deposit and remaining balance are non-refundable except in cases of visa denial.
What is the standard commission structure?
Standard rate: 20% commission. Chaperone requirement: 1 chaperone per 10 students (standard market practice). Small groups: For groups smaller than 10 students, commission and support structures will be reviewed and agreed on a case-by-case basis.
When are agent commissions paid?
Agent commissions are paid within 14 days after students complete the program.
Which cohorts work for Asian markets?
June, July, and August cohorts align with Asian academic calendars, as most countries in the region do not have summer breaks in May. May cohort is available for individual students or markets with different vacation schedules (Middle East, Europe, etc.).
Is this an ESL program?
No. This is not an ESL program. It is a technical skills development program delivered in English. Instruction includes industry-specific terminology in game development, 3D animation, and creative technology. Students should have functional English to engage with technical content.
Are ESL lessons included in the daily schedule?
No. ESL instruction is not part of the program curriculum.
Do you offer ESL support or alternatives?
Yes, we can develop a separate 1-2 week "Communication for Creative Arts" program for students who want English language development in creative industry contexts. This would be a distinct offering with different structure, pricing, and target audience from the main technical program.
Are there disability amenities available?
Yes. The University of Warwick is committed to accessibility and provides comprehensive support for students with disabilities. Campus facilities, including the Fusion Esports Centre, are designed to be accessible. However, accessibility may vary on cultural excursions and external trips. Most UK attractions are required to comply with the Equality Act 2010 and provide reasonable adjustments, though historic sites may have limitations. We work with students individually to ensure appropriate accommodations and plan accessible alternatives where needed.
Are materials included? Do students need to bring extra items?
No additional materials are required. All necessary equipment, software, and creative tools are provided on campus. However, students may benefit from bringing a mobile phone with filming and photography capabilities for documenting their projects and cultural experiences.
How far are the accommodations from the main campus?
Accommodation is on-site at the University of Warwick campus, within walking distance to the Fusion Centre and all program facilities.
Is there an age limit for participants?
The program welcomes both school-age students (typically 16-18) and adult learners. We design cohorts to ensure age-appropriate groupings and learning environments for all participants.
